Happy Diwali
What is Diwali?
Lighting of candles and Diyas in the house and burning of crackers all around. After dressing up nicely and beautifully, all members of family worship goddess-Lakshmi.
Not only this, people used to exchange the gifts and sweets among the family members and close friends. This shows a healthy and sweet connection.
All this thing make people happy and feel them positive. Isn’t it? What a beautiful festival it is.
So it’s a big question. When is Diwali celebrated? We can’t predict a particular date of Diwali, but it falls in the month of mid-October and mid-November. But this time its 7th november 2018.
Why we celebrate Diwali?
Rama returned to his people after 14 years of exile during which he fought and won a battle against the demons and the demon king, Ravana. People lit their houses to celebrate his victory over evil (light over darkness). The goddess of happiness and good fortune, Lakshmi, also figures into the celebration. It is believed that she roams the Earth on this day and enters the house that is pure, clean, and bright.
